This Sunday, UUJXN and the UU Congregation of Oxford co-host a Transgender Day of Visibility service featuring speakers from within our congregation along with special guests as we celebrate this special day.
This will be an in-person service in Jackson and Oxford as well. It will also be live streamed from Jackson. Please join us in person if you are able. If you can’t make it, watch the live stream right here starting at 11AM. In this talk, I will discuss how I went from being a cultural Jew to being a practicing Jew and how that faith system led me to activism. Though Judaism has private prayer and a personal relationship to the holy, it was the relationship I forged with other Jews and with other people that I found most inspiring.
