Bio:
Dr. Stroud’s academic achievements include two academic doctorates: ThD. (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary) and PhD. (Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati). Although his university teaching has focused on religious studies and philosophy, for the last fifty years he has devoted much attention to psychology, particularly to the study of the existential aspects of personality development. For the past forty years, his writings have addressed what he describes as the illusions of theism and contemporary Christianity .
His first book I Feel Like Me When I’m With You: The Experience of Intimacy is a presentation of the dynamics of
personal relationships, what later was popularized under the term codependency. His books , Thinking Without Borders and The Curse of the Continuum are collections of essays on various philosophical topics. His latest book, Moments in Poetry is a collection of poems he has written during the past two years
He has held the position of Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Arkansas State University and has taught as an adjunct professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at University of Mississippi.
