A Song's Best Friend -- Odes To the Earth by John Denver - Ken Sizemore - Sunday, July 15, 20187/14/2018 On July 15 folksinger Ken Sizemore will present a musical service entitled "A Song's Best Friend--Odes To the Earth by John Denver". Ken will pay tribute to Denver's musical poetry that expresses so wonderfully his love of nature and beauty.
Ken has visited us many times before, so a number of you know that his special area of musical interest is the "Classic Folk Music" of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He has been performing folk music all over the country for more than 57 years, and for the last 40 years or so he has been a regular musical visitor to UU churches and fellowships all over the southeast and along the east coast of the US. The drama of the commons and the game of life - are we on the same team or competing with one another? Readings, discussions, and games exploring the tension between growth and limits, temperance and abundance, the private and the public. How does it relate to our 7 UU principles?
