"Looking at Living in a Pluralistic World Through the Lens of Popular Culture"
Rev. Gail Tapscott

Sunday, May 26, 2024

Looking at Living in a Pluralistic World Through the Lens of Popular Culture- Rev. Gail Tapscott will address examples for living in a pluralistic community through examining some popular movies and TV (streaming shows) both recent and vintage which offer examples of relationships that transcend usual boundaries. She will look in particular at an older show now streaming on Prime Video- Northern Exposure. This show has often been cited as reflecting a a very UU kind of world view and many UU ministers and others have commented to this effect on fan sites and discussion groups.

"Living The Questions"
Rev. Edith A.. Love

What does it mean to live with uncertainty? How do we find our center, when we aren’t sure what might happen with the election coming up? How can we remain calm with the state of wars and genocides happening in the wider world? How do we cope with climate change shifting our world in tragic ways…..and yet another covid variant emerging in Europe? Join us this Sunday as we explore these questions with our guest leader, Reverend Edith A. Love.

"Let It Be A Dance"
Rev. Sarah Osborne

The joy and challenge of being Unitarian Universalist is that we are a pluralistic faith. How do we choreograph our time together, so we feel not only a sense of belonging but create a place of radical hospitality and offer a commitment to shared values that serve the larger community? May we groove to the opportunity to expand our faith formation at UUCO. Let it be a dance we do. Join Rev. Sarah Osborne on Sunday May 12th at 10:30 am and stay for potluck afterwards. All are welcome.
