We will use this quote from Martin Luther King Jr. as a starting place to think about labor and work, and its place in our lives both individually and collectively. What ideas about work did you grow up with? Does a person have more value because of the work that they do? Can we find ways to talk about the inherent worth and dignity of a person without using monetary language? These questions and more will frame our conversation. Sunday will also include Wendy Pfrenger, our RE (Religious Exploration) Trustee, bringing the story for all ages and demonstrating how Religious Education or RE can work for a multi-age group. There will be a short informational RE meeting after the service for those who are interested in helping with RE this year.

In this service we will explore the concept of "belonging" and will focus on three ways we might understand and cultivate our own sense of belonging. We will look at belonging in terms of our physical bodies, our personal relationships with others, and in our connection to our abstract community identities.
