This week we offer a service that honors the first UU principle affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person through the lens of Zen Buddhism. We welcome as speakers fellow Oxonians, Dean Worsham and Camp Best. Their theme will explore the practice of mindfulness and loving kindness. Please join us this Sunday in celebration of community in the spirit of loving kindness.

 Come to hear about the struggle humans often face in searching for inner peace. We tend to turn to materialism, relationships, and/or organized religion in our searching for fulfillment. But Randy tells of the need to travel inward, being brutally honest with ourselves, if we want to find out who we are and discover our soul's desires. We need to listen to our own hearts and spirits. Randy has a background in Music, having earned a Master's Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY and he worked for more than twenty years in church music and youth ministry. His second Master's Degree emphasized Marriage and Family therapy and was completed at Mississippi College. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Psychotherapist for twenty years. Randy also writes for several newspapers and is a songwriter and singer. We are delighted and honored that we will have Randy with us at UUCO!
