Continuing our welcoming theme, we are inspired during this week of the Jewish High Holy Days to reflect on welcoming renewal into our own lives and relationships, moving forward into restoration and new beginnings. We will also welcome the owners of Chicory Market as we hear from them about the renewal and new beginnings of our local year-round farmers' market, and their intention to help build welcoming community by connecting local farmers and buyers.

Curious about the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford? Been wondering what this UU thing is? Come discover how folks with many different personal beliefs can thrive together through shared principles and covenant. "We need not think alike to love alike."
Our Open House is a multigenerational service for guests, members, and friends. Several of our congregation, from long-time members to those who have just arrived here in Oxford, will share their stories of this place and what being a UU is all about. Childcare and Religious Exploration provided. We will have light refreshments following the service. Faith can be a wonderful thing – if you have it.
But what if you don’t even have a clue what faith is? What then? Can faith be created? Is God necessary? What’s religion got to do with it? Are there really any answers? Six months ago, Allen Leache rejoined our congregation after a three year absence. This Sunday, he renews a Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford tradition of Personal Witness as he discusses why he had to leave and why he had to return. It is a story of crises and discovery, and ultimately, a matter of faith. Please join us. Rev. Gail Tapscott, retired Unitarian Universalist minister and UUCO member calls us to think about labor as a justice issue as well as work as a venue for spiritual practice. Rev. Gail once helped organize a local teacher's union and worked with union activities for over a decade as a board member of the South Florida Interfaith Worker Justice group. Jaz Brisack joins us as a reader. There will be special music. LuAnne Buchanan is Service Leader
