Katie Boyle is an environmental educator, who lives in Oxford, MS with her family. She and her husband are originally from NY. She had never considered working outdoors until after she left college and moved to Texas. She kept running into people who believed in her and were willing to teach her on the job. She moved to Mississippi in 2008 so her husband could pursue writing at the University. In NY, Katie worked in environmental education with The Student Conservation Association and the NYC Parks Department. In Mississippi, she worked as the Education Director at Strawberry Plains Audubon Center, starting in 2012. She also started her own personal venture, Oxford Wonder Walks, in 2015 where she leads numerous children of various ages on nature exploration. Katie will be talking about Connecting With Nature – something we should all do more of!
