The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford, will affirm the tradition of the Ingathering Water Service as we gather virtually from the ebb and flow of our own lives to acknowledge the importance of water and our life-giving connections between each other and our world.
Although we cannot meet in person this year, we would like to invite you all to collect some water from a source that's important to you, be it from lake, river, creek, rainwater, or even the tap of your home. You can drop this water off in a closed bottle or jar in the designated box at the door of UUCO between the dates 8/20 (Thursday) -8/22 (Saturday). Please drop off your water no later than 7:00PM on 8/22.!! This water will then be collected and combined during the service on 8/23. While you are at UUCO, please take a moment for a brief meditation. Consider what this congregation means to you and what you hope for its future. Write down your thoughts on the paper provided, fold it up, and drop it into the designated "reflections" box. These will be typed up and shared during the service with musical accompaniment. There will also be time for personal reflection and further wishes to be shared through the chat function of our Zoom meeting.
We are a welcoming congregation, however, due to security concerns we cannot publish the link to our Sunday Service. We invite you to join by emailing Sandra Moss at [email protected] to get the link.
