The task felt monumental, having to experience the difficult journey ahead while repairing core beliefs. Together with his wife, Jennifer, they both embraced a sense of adventure as they navigated their new reality in order to minimize the trauma their two young sons would experience.
A tall order for anyone in the best of circumstances.
The journey became the foundation for their growth and together they are using rock bottom as their launching pad.

Alex Vergara is brother to members Sarah Schnaithman and Reyna Vergara. Prior to his deportation in 2014, Alex was a member of the UA Local Plumbers & Pipefitters out of Austin, Texas. Although through his life changes, he now works alongside his wife as a graphic and web designer, for their own online business, JClaireCopy LLC. He currently lives in Antigua, Guatemala, with his wife Jennifer, youngest son, and their spoiled Guatemalan rescue dog, Sox.
