Oxford's own VOX Press, headed by Louis Bourgeois, has reached out to Parchman Prison with a life-affirming experience. The Prison Writes Project has found a way for Parchman Farm prisoners to share pivotal events in their lives by writing about them. Through creative writing classes led by VOX Press the prisoners tell their stories, some of which have recently been published in a short volume that will be available for purchase this Sunday morning at UUCO. VOX Press founder Louis Bourgeois will share highlights of this very therapeutic experience in this morning's service.
