James M. Thomas, or just JT, has lived in Oxford since 2012. He is an associate professor of sociology, and a writer. Most of his teaching and writing focuses on race, racism, and inequality. JT is active in the LOU community, having served on the boards of several nonprofits, including the United Way, LOU-Home, and the Jewish Federation of Oxford. He spends as much of his free time as he can with his wife, Afton, and their two children, Olive (13) and Noah (9).
