"To the World We Dream About"

We are constantly trying to make meaning of our lives and ancient stories reveal truths of the human condition- we survive despite the odds. But survival is not enough. We can see the gritty reality of life AND challenge the status quo.
As 2025 comes to a close, perhaps the story we tell now is a different one, not the same old sad song, but an anthem of hope. Let’s celebrate the beauty and flaws of life by letting go of what no longer serves us and prepare the way for the world we dream about with a Burning Bowl Sunday service with Rev. Sarah.

“Letting the Light In: UUCO’s Annual Winter Holiday Celebration”
with Reverend Sarah Osborne

Oh it’s the most merry time of year to let our lights shine, to find hope in the dark, and to let joy sing in our hearts. UUCO celebrates the season with an outpouring of love, with our tradition of serving buns and cider while storytelling and singing about the wonders and miracles of light! Join Rev. Sarah and a bevy of merrymakers for this annual holiday tradition.
And stick around afterwards for our holiday potluck-bring your favorite dish to share. Following the potluck will be UUCO’s most important fundraiser of the year: our Love Feast Auction! Support the congregation by bidding on silent auction items or purchasing seats at the many special dinners or events planned for the year.

Rocks and Socks or Light Under the Mountain
with Wendy Pfrenger

As we enter this season of darkness and light festivals, we will celebrate with an intergenerational service offering both meditative space and the richness of story. In each segment of the service, we'll respond to a vignette from the Victorian - and somewhat pagan - tale of The Christmas Tomten. Through shared ritual, song, and personal reflection, we will together prepare to welcome the blessings of the season.
