Community Action Program (CAP)

UUCO is very active in the community.  We support campus efforts, as well efforts in the Oxford Lafayette County community.  Some of our outreach includes:

• Oxford Community Market
• Pride Celebrations
• LGBTQIA+ Emergency Fund
• ​Lafayette Community Remembrance Project
• Oxford Food Pantry
• Social Justice Protest and Marches

People's Summit on Housing

Housing costs in Oxford are quickly rising, leaving many lower income families and students unable to afford a place to live.  On April 5, 2025, the first People's Summit was held on Housing.

Oxford Community Market

​UUCO has hosted the Hospitality Tent at the Oxford Community Market.  The tent provides water and snacks to shoppers.

Oxford Unite and Resist Rally​

Oxford joined in the national Womens March on March 8, 2025.  Our own Rev. Sarah Osborne was one of the speakers at the rally.
